PERSONAL TRAINING
What is personal training?
Personal training consists of one-on-one in-person instruction from
a certified personal fitness trainer. This trainer teaches you,
motivates you, and gets you to work hard safely, effectively, and
consistently while following a detailed fitness and nutrition plan
which the trainer develops for you based on you and your goals.
Personal training is one of the most effective methods for achieving
your health, fitness, and/or weight-loss goals as it utilizes the

How often should you meet with a personal trainer?
This will depend upon your goals, how quickly you want to achieve
them, your schedule and time available to exercise, and your budget.
When considering the cost, be sure to remember that this is your
health and there is nothing on earth that is more important. Without
your health you have nothing.
On average, most clients do best when they meet with a personal
trainer 2-3 times per week. Less than that and many people will
slack off and not get nearly as much out of it. Here are a few
things to keep in mind when determining how often you'll meet with
your trainer.
1. How fast do I want to achieve my goal and see results?
The more frequently you meet with your trainer the faster you'll see
results and achieve your goals. There are several reasons for this:
consistency, accountability, motivation, and guidance. The truth is
that you'll work out much harder with your trainer than on your own.
2. How much experience with exercise do I have and how much do I
really know?
Many people have exercised before, many for years, but do you really
know it all? It's not likely. Personal Trainers spend years studying
and learning and our primary focus is on helping and teaching our
clients. Think about it, if you don't know taxes (like I sure don't
:) ) are you going to try to figure it out yourself, or have someone
help you? Similarly, why leave your fitness results to chance?
Most clients we work with start out meeting with their personal
trainer 3 times per week and then will gradually decrease the
frequency as they progress and learn more, and feel more comfortable
and confident on their own.
Where will I meet with my personal trainer?
We offer personal training in area health clubs and gyms as well as
in your home, office, or apartment fitness center.
The cost of our programs is the same whether you have a trainer come
to you or meet with one in a health club. The only additional cost
may be a membership fee if you are working with a trainer in a
health club and you are not already a member. We can even help you
set up a temporary membership for the duration of your
fitness-training program with us.
Do I need to have equipment if I am going to be working with a
trainer in my home?
No. Nearly all of our in-home clients have little or no equipment at
all and get amazing results. Unless you are into power lifting,
bodybuilding, or competitive sports, you don't need lots of
machines. All you need is to work the muscles and you can do that
with body weight calisthenics, exercise bands, free weights, manual
resistance, exercise balls and more – all of which are provided by
your personal trainer.
Are all of your personal trainers certified? Insured?
Yes, all of our personal trainers and wellness coaches hold multiple
certifications, and/or degrees, we carry a comprehensive insurance
policy, and we have both male and female personal trainers
available.
How do I know which program: wellness coaching or personal
training is right for me?
It all depends. First, you need to know what your goals are. Then
look at the different programs we offer and see if you see one
that's a good match.
